# Event Popover

> FullCalendar v3 documentation, for an old release. Web version: https://legacy.fullcalendar.io/v3/event-popover
>
> Latest version (v7): https://fullcalendar.io/docs/event-popover.md

When not all events will fit in a given day, you can display the excess events in a small window that will show up when the user clicks a "more" link.

This UI component only applies to [month view](https://legacy.fullcalendar.io/v3/month-view.md), [basic view](https://legacy.fullcalendar.io/v3/basic-view.md), and the "all-day" slot of [agenda view](https://legacy.fullcalendar.io/v3/agenda-view.md).

## Articles

- [eventLimit](https://legacy.fullcalendar.io/v3/eventLimit.md) - Limits the number of events displayed on a day. The rest will show up in a popover.
- [eventLimitClick](https://legacy.fullcalendar.io/v3/eventLimitClick.md) - Determines what happens when the user clicks a “more” link. These links are created by the eventLimit option.
- [eventLimitText](https://legacy.fullcalendar.io/v3/eventLimitText.md) - Determines the text of the link created by the eventLimit setting.
- [dayPopoverFormat](https://legacy.fullcalendar.io/v3/dayPopoverFormat.md) - Determines the date format of title of the popover created by the eventLimitClick option.
